Welcome to Gymnastics Australia.
This support site article is aimed to assist individuals seeking to gain entry into our Coaching Accreditation pathway.
Introduction
Whether you’re looking to teach recreational gymnastics, team gym, advanced skills or competitive gymnastics, part time, full time or casual – there’s a pathway for everyone! Coaching teaches you lifelong skills not just in understanding movement, biomechanics and training physical abilities, but in class management, leadership, communication, planning, adapting teaching methods to suit learning styles, risk management – and so much more.
As part of our new era of coaching in gymnastics, all new coaches to the sport will complete the Fundamental Gymnastics Coach course.
Emphasising the effectiveness of on-the-job training, the course starts trainee coaches on the path to practice behaviour management strategies, class management techniques and progression and regression design whilst learning in their real-world club environment.
Please note: you will need to be connected to a club as an accredited Club Coach Educator is required to approve the activity pack associated with this course.
